shitty tree

started sculpting a tree out, the roots will go into the ground so you wont really see them. Not really happy with it atm, not sure whats wrong really. Might just try it again and see if a second time throughh just produces a better result

Peldantra and SSS

Added some SSS to the plants. Definitely needed it after feedback from collegues. Far happier with it now. Also removed horizon averaging which was causing errors on the shiney bits I mentioned yesterday

Started a new plant. Just fannying around with the high poly still. Need to quickly sculpt the base of this plant. Not sure If i realllllly need to do the roots, But ill do it just incase I have one thats come up or just floating around in the pond. Will quickly bash it out in zbrush, nothing ultra detailed. Just basic shapes really.

Petunia texture

Been making textures today, completed the albedo i think, and the normal and gloss n stuff are done. Just need to get the diffuse, AO and cavity map done. and its good to roll.

Fern Wip

Just testing my textures for the fern in thing. Gonna build it up into a plant tomorrow after I finish off removing the lighting information from the albedo map. Diffuse maps now mean subsurface in PBR so better get used to calling stuff correctly.
