Little confused where my 45 minutes went.... took me ages, not even tidy. ah well. I blame staring at complicated pattern lines..... there must be a better way

Spent quite a bit of time just trying to get the lines again, not overly happy with this one. took much longer than I anticipated. 1hr

Hand sketches

Again, more hand jobs. 30 minutes without reference, think i got the hang of this almost!

Hand hard light

Using the proportion techniques from yesterday, spent a little more time drawing a single hand today. This is my own hand under the harsh light of monitor and a black room. Fairly happy with it, there's some odd bones poking out, and looking back I've forgotten the veins, but non the less, half hour drawing.

3 quick hand jobs

3 quick hand sketches, my first real look into the shape of hands. I feel they got progressively worse but I kind of get what to do, just need more practice! 30 minutes

Legs

Drew some legs, they're too chunky, and the colours aren't quite right need more practice at this.  1hr

torso

Drew a torso, its a little skinny towards the bottom and im pretty sure his boobs are going the wrong way, or at strange angles. 1hr 

Arms

Just practicing some arms today, as well as trying to get better levels.  I know theyre all muscley arms, but its interesting to draw. 1hr

More head angles

In my pursuit of giving good heads, i've practice some more angles. My heads still look crap. There's something about the angles which are just not right. They looked worse until I attached them to necks, but they still are pretty poor. :C

Giving more head (s)

Just spent some more time practicing heads using only my own guide lines and some "rough" pictures for part placement. Going to keep practicing this, maybe ill be able to draw head people someday properly! 1hr work

Head

Starting learning head proportions. Spent a while watching videos so didnt get so much done. 45 minutes work

I ear you man!

After speaking to a collegue, he suggested I should work on levels for a little while, So ill continue my pursuit of drawing bodies but ill do them in grey scale for a while so I can practice getting levels correct :) 30 minutes

More mouthing off

Sketched some more mouths, 20 minutes each. wanted some expression today.

Mouth

Drew a mouth, 30 minutes. its a bit too... dry i think, the lips need less contrast.

I do not nose what im doing...

Practiced some noses, the softer shapes were quite fun. May begin learning how to draw people.  Today. noses, tomorrow, mouths? 30 minutes.

Shirt

Half hour drawing of a shirt, semi happy with it.

Come fly, lets fly away.

After watching "come fly with me" I decided to draw a plane, pretty happy with it. Took just over an hour. Im sure the clean line work is slowing me down massively. Not sure how to speed up my work.... Ignore my shitty clouds, I just couldnt be arsed by the time I got around to them

And now, I AM ALIVE HURRAY. God damn im so hungry. 1 hr off a reference. The hard lines on the shirt are due to me using the straight lasso and not bothering to wiggle them up after...

Man flu crippled me. I spent about 15 minutes staring at this too and decided to go back to sleep.

Man flu has crippled me, I started to draw, then realised I had done nothing for 15 minutes. I may skip today...

Shark

40 minute drawing a shark, this is actually part of my mothers day card which will be titled "10 reasons why you're better than a shark". I've put this up here anyways as I doubt my mum reads this blog anyways.... Least I hope she doesnt.

Bandaged hand

Sketched a hand without tracing it... took ruddy ages. 25 minutes, then spent the next 35 adding in rough shading, mostly spent speaking to an old good friend so yeah progress was not focused, but it was worth it :) 1 hr total

Puddle!

Tried a reflection and to mix colours to produce a puddle and reflection more than concentrating on fine details. Very happy with this piece clocking in at half an hour.

Coach

Spent an hour on this, learnt that it takes a long time to do this when your using the pen tool to draw out shapes.... hmmmm maybe ill sketch a vehicle one day and try to do less sharp lines. 1 hour

Touching cloth

Well this is a stark contrast compared with yesterdays work. I did trace the outline of her body as I wanted to practice cloth and softer tones more than fannying around with her shape. Thats another days lesson... Anyways, heavy cloth creases and skin tones in a strong light! 1hr

MEAT

I drew some meat, actually  I lie. These were supposed to be red hot coals that were burning intensely  But, they were just poor drawings. The left was 35 minutes of brutality of a bigger picture, it looked gash. I realise now that I bit off too much.  So I spent 25 minutes trying to draw a section better, its a little better, still looks like meat.
